58 days left (updated and correct now)

Hey mom, Im good. Im not sick at all, the computers just would not load the page. so i wasnt able to email last week. But this week was great!!

This was an extremely fast week!!! This last saturday we had two baptisms!! they were great. I was able to baptize one of them and the other was baptized by her grandpa. We have two more this saturday and one the following week. Its great! My zone is now  just reaping the baptisms this month. I think we might be the most for this month. its a ton!

Our one convert, P, He is so awesome. He had been investigating the church for 1-1/2 years. He just wasn't ready to join just yet. then Elder Sacay and i started to teach him again and address his concerns and then he started to change... its the coolest thing to see people change. Its so cool cuz you can actually see the change.often times its a physical change as well as a spiritual change. He was baptized saturday, confirmed sunday and given the Aaronic Priesthood as well on sunday. He has a calling now in the ward and is doing great!! He is so awesome...

So the ward here is really picking up. they are really doing the best i have ever seen in a ward. All the leaders are functioning, they are so excited in helping with the work. I am so excited to see what happens in the next two months.

so i have been having some really crazy dreams lately...im not sure if they mean anything or not but they are effecting my head. they are mostly about me coming home and trying to start life again; but then i cant stop thinking about the pines.. I think they are making me trunky not to leave. Every time i think about home i get kinda feel weird and immediately think about here.
Dont get me wrong or anything, i am excited to come home but im not excited to leave here and what im doing.

Im really excited about going to school.

Well i love ya lots and hope you have a great week!!
Love Elder Smith

  1. Whaaaat? I can't believe you will be coming home fairly soon. I've been reading every post your Mom puts up on your missionary blog. I enjoy reading of your successes and cheer you on when you struggle. That's when one grows the most and when the success finally comes, you can see the growth and change in others and yourself.

We were able to see your family last month ... oh how we love them! We found out about Jens' homecoming and get together and headed out a couple of days early. We didn't want to miss it.

I loved reading how you are thinking of home and then immediately your thoughts go to where you are serving and don't want to go home. Keep up the great work!

  2. Haha! I thought I religiously read your weekly updates your mom posted. And I did. I must be losing my memory. I'm glad your mom does this online. Once again, after talking with you this year over Christmas, you reaffirmed your feelings in this post. You didn't want to have any regrets on your mission and pour your whole heart in it. And that you did. Thank you for being valiant. For being you. I'm sure your parents were and still are proud.
